This is a full time head coaching position, overseeing the women’s basketball program at the University of Arizona. The primary function of the head coaching position is to direct the women’s basketball program within the rules and regulations of the Arizona Board of Regents, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Responsible for managing staff of the women’s basketball program which includes coaches, support staff, and student-athletes; head coach is responsible for managing personnel, oversee scheduling, oversee player development, and academic progress of student-athletes.
Responsible for facilitating the academic and athletic development of every women’s basketball student-athlete.
Coordinate the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.
Coordinate, track, and be financially responsible for the program budget.
Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
Assist with workout scheduling.
Coordinate competition schedules following Big 12 and NCAA guidelines.
Coordinate recruiting activities for women’s basketball including: Travel to competitions and conduct home visits with prospective student-athletes; Monitor prospective recruits and incoming correspondence.
Coordinate team responsibilities with regards to all support groups within athletic department.
Educate new coaches/staff members on proper techniques and desired philosophies of the athletic department and the women’s basketball program.
Constant knowledge regarding current rules, training techniques, and political climate of NCAA women’s basketball.
Follow all NCAA and Big 12 guidelines.
Additional duties as assigned.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Three years of college coaching experience.
Master’s Degree.
Five years’ head coaching experience at an NCAA Division I level program.
Three or more years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.
