Caldwell University invites applications for a part-time Head Coach, Women’s Flag Football. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Head Coach will organize a comprehensive recruiting program for the Caldwell Women’s Flag Football program in accordance with University, and NCAA policies, rules and regulations. The head flag football coach is the individual charged with the responsibility of recruiting, planning, programming, directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions for the flag football program. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Recruit prospective student athletes for the entire program and recommend students for admission, enrollment and to receive scholarships
In conjunction with the AVP and the Director, develop fundraising programming and opportunities for flag football and athletic department.
Provide leadership, vision and strategic planning for the Caldwell University Flag Football program. Develop and execute team philosophy
Communicate and integrate the mission of the University and the Philosophy of the Athletic Department within the program
Adhere to Caldwell University Code of Conduct at all times. Ensure student-athletes exhibit superior sportsmanship and set the example for a positive environment at all times.
Advise staff and team of NCAA and Athletic department rules and policies as interpreted by the NCAA and directed by the University administration. Ensure the program is in compliance with rules, regulations, and policies. Handle all athletic programs paperwork for all departments, and NCAA requirements.
Supervise all games, scrimmages and practices.
Interview and recommend for approval, assistant coaching candidates.
Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches. Keep accurate records of responsibilities for the entire coaching staff.
Work with athletic department staff to maintain accurate academic, recruiting, financial, practice, expense, and meal records. Complete all required forms as necessary.
Supply Athletic Media Information Director with all necessary information regarding team and individual student athletes.
Work with the Athletic administrator to prepare and submit a yearly budget request to the Assistant Vice President.
Represent the institution at conferences and meetings as required
Attend and participate in various University and athletic functions.
Work with the Athletic administrator for ensuring travel arrangements. Drive vehicles as needed

Work in conjunction with Assistant Athletic Director/Operations in the preparation, distribution, and collection of equipment inventory for the program.
Bachelor’s degree plus two to three years of effective experience in the coaching field. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed. Must maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications.
