Direct a competitive women's lacrosse program representing the mission of our institution to
promote RWU athletics.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Direct all facets of the program including recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, hiring staff,
   

team selection, coach's clinic, equipment purchase, fund raising, designing and
implementing a system of play.

1. Support and monitor the academic performance of student-athletes in the program.

2. Adhere to RWU’s policies and procedures as well as ethical standards of behavior.

3. Support the physical, emotional and social well-being of student-athletes in the program,

including gender issues and ethnic diversity

1. Establish a safe environment for student-athletes (e.g., education on and methods for
   

discussing and resolving harassment or discrimination).

1. As a member of the Athletics Department, Head Coaches are responsible for:
   

a. Supporting NCAA compliance within the Department by promoting an atmosphere of
compliance with NCAA rules within their programs and monitoring compliance by all
assistant coaches and/or others involved with the program.

b. Self-reporting any NCAA rules violations as soon as they are discovered.
c. Participating in annual or more frequent continuing education programs regarding

NCAA rules.

d. Maintaining current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and

automatic external defibrillator (AED) use.
e. Abiding by all safety policies and procedures.
f. Understanding that violation of NCAA rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary

action up to and including termination of employment.

1. Participate in Conference, Region and National athletic organizations.

2. Perform other duties as assigned.

The approved salary for this position is $45,000.00/annually

Preparation and Training
Bachelor's Degree.Master's preferred. Knowledge of the sport through experience, coaching,
clinics, etc.

Consequence of Error
Errors impact the institution, department and student athletes.

Level of Supervision
Broad direction provided for individual decision-making within institutional guidelines and
budget.

Assistant coach or coaches

Experience
Two to three years experience at the University level is preferred.

Confidential Data
Coaches will have access to confidential financial and private data which must be held
confidential.

Mental/Visual Demand
and Physical Effort
Some physical demands. Patience, understanding and guidance are required.

Environment
Some office work required but mainly involved with the team either in practice or game.
Travel as per team schedule.
