This position will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, budget management, scheduling, conditioning, and administration. ¿ Lead, organize, and supervise all aspects of the Women¿s Soccer program to develop a highly competitive and successful program.
¿ Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to enhance the skills and performance of student-athletes.
¿ Recruit and retain talented student-athletes of good character who are committed to academic and athletic excellence.
¿ Offer leadership to student-athletes to support their progress in player development, academic growth, leadership skills, team building, community engagement, representation of the institution, and competitive performance.
¿ Work collaboratively with the NCAA Compliance office, Admissions, Financial Aid, Center for Academic Success, and other departments to help with the admission, registration, and other administrative processes.
¿ Scout, plan and execute practice sessions, game strategies, and conditioning programs.
¿ Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and ensure compliance with NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, and CSU regulations.
¿ Foster a positive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
¿ Manage the program's budget ethically and creatively, including travel, equipment, and other expenses, aligning with institutional policies.
¿ Engage with the community and alumni to promote the Women's Soccer program and support fundraising efforts.
¿ Conduct sports camps and clinics to engage youth within the Atlanta Metro area, to fund raise and promote the Clayton State University brand.
¿ Collaborate with athletic department staff and other university departments to ensure the success of the program.
¿ Take part in program and departmental social media outreach, public relations, and promotional activities.
¿ Assist the Athletics Department in field maintenance, such as lining the field, and coordinating facility needs.
¿ Attend mandatory Clayton State University, Peach Belt Conference, and NCAA meeting to keep informed of rule changes, techniques, and technology pertaining to Women¿s Soccer.
¿ Supervise and develop an Assistant Coach for Women¿s Soccer.
¿ Other duties as assigned.
¿ Bachelor's degree required.
¿ Proven experience coaching soccer at the collegiate level, with an understanding of NCAA Division II regulations.
¿ Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or the ability to obtain such certifications within six months of the hire date.
¿ Master¿s Degree
¿ US Soccer Federation B license or higher (or comparative license from an international Soccer governing body).
¿ Possess two years of collegiate-level coaching experience with proven success, specifically in college-level soccer.
¿ Demonstrated success in recruiting and developing student-athletes.
¿ Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
¿ Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
¿ Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
