Job Summary

Leads the women’s soccer program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Recruits student-athletes and oversees their training. Monitors and supports academic success of student athletes. Builds and maintains a public awareness of the program. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.· Three (3) years of experience coaching soccer at the club, high school, collegiate or equivalent level.· Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the CSU’s Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree preferably in education, sports management, or another related field.· Five (5) years of experience coaching soccer at the club, professional or collegiate level.· Familiarity with Northeast Ohio region.· Professional experience in a urban college/university environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

· Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.· Supports commitment to a diverse program through hiring, retention, facilitation, and decision-making skills and competencies.· Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.· Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery. · Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.· Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.· Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
