Head Golf Coach

Position Information

Minot State University, an NCAA Division II institution and proud member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), is seeking applications for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. This part-time, 6-month position is responsible for the organization, development, and leadership of all facets of the golf program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to athletic and academic excellence and uphold the values and mission of Minot State University and its athletics department.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions for both men's and women's golf programs.
•    Recruit and retain student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
•    Promote a culture of compliance with NCAA, NSIC, and institutional rules and policies.
•    Manage team travel, scheduling, and budget within allocated resources.
•    Collaborate with academic support staff to monitor student-athlete progress and eligibility.
•    Maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and student-athlete welfare.

Required Competencies

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•    Demonstrated experience coaching golf at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
•    Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Collegiate playing experience.
•    Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
•    Experience with recruiting and program development.

•    Status: Part-Time, Non-Benefitted
•    Compensation: Commensurate with experience and budget allocation
