Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
The Head Tennis Coach works as a member of the Athletic Department. Responsibilities include planning and directing the recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes, along with fiscal management, for a
NAIA
tennis program. Previous collegiate head coaching experience preferred.
The candidate must:
Have a strong focus on student-athlete academic success.
Insist on exemplary student-athlete behaviors both on campus and in public.
Have extensive coaching experience at either the high school or college level.
Direct instruction of student-athletes relative to the skills and strategies necessary to compete in tennis at the collegiate level. 75% of time
Develop coaching techniques, players and overall strategies; evaluate individual performances and provide leadership and instruction in areas deemed necessary for success. As needed
Plan and coordinate team travel arrangements to include means used, equipment to be taken, logistics, etc. As needed
Conduct comprehensive recruiting activities, coordinate with Admissions Office to establish academic eligibility and possible financial aid packages. As needed
Participate in fundraising, public relations activities, e.g., public appearances, attendance at conferences, etc. As needed
Ensure compliance with
NAIA
rules and regulations. 100% of time
Oversee and ensure compliance with all applicable university and athletic program policies and procedures, including Title IX, internal administrative controls, compliance reporting and academic standards. As Needed

Promote an atmosphere of compliance within your program and provide necessary training and education to students, staff, and external stakeholders on relevant compliance and institutional matters. As Needed
Participate in and support the university’s fundraising efforts, in coordination with the university’s advancement office and practices. As Needed
Oversee and manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including booster clubs, in order to maintain and promote institutional control over your sport program. As Needed
Manage fundraising, purchasing, media interaction, and recruiting contact by external stakeholders of your sport program and coordinate those activities with the proper University office. As Needed
Communicate, cooperate and assist the athletic and institutional staff with the daily management of all facets of the sport program. As Needed
Coordinate promotional events and strategies {for home contest in conjunction with the sports Information Director and the Marketing and Communication Office. As Needed
Bachelor’s degree required.
USPTA
/
USPTR
is preferred but not required.
Coaching strategies specific to tennis.
Knowledge of
NCAA
and
NAIA
rules for tennis.
