Short Description

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is seeking a full-time 10-month contractual Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach to be responsible for the overall success, performance, and conduct of the

Bobcat men’s and women’s Tennis program. The approximate starting Annual Salary is $43,500 – $45,600 which is based on the length of the contract and is not negotiable.

This is a 10-month appointment that includes the following benefits will be available on an annual basis:

University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program.

Five (5) days of annual leave

Specific Holidays

Three (3) days of sick leave

May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription, and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Staff working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the applicable state subsidy for medical and prescription coverage.

Description of Ongoing/New Duties

Administer the men’s and women’s tennis programs in accordance with

NCAA

regulations and University policy. Recruit, retain, and graduate academically successful student-athletes. Supervise a graduate assistant coach. Promote the men’s and women’s tennis program through public relations activities, alumni, and friends of swimming relationships. Other related duties as assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to overall departmental philosophy and collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. At least 1 year of coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level. Knowledge of

NCAA

rules and regulations. Proven ability to recruit student-athletes.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree. Experience at the collegiate level.
