is responsible for managing all aspects of the

UNK

Men’s Basketball program.

Job Duties

Coaching – communicate and teach the fundamentals and philosophies of the game, recruitment of perspective student athletes, practice and game preparation, arranging team travel and game scheduling; Provide leadership in the development of student athletes in the classroom, on the court and in our community. Monitor eligibility and academic progress of student athletes to ensure eligibility and graduation; Responsible for management of operating budget; including team travel, equipment purchases, staffing and other miscellaneous expenses; Oversee and manage the men’s basketball coaching staff; Oversee fundraising activities and sports camps and clinics

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree. Previous experience in coaching Men’s Basketball at the high school or intercollegiate level. Minimum of 1 year coaching experience in Men’s Basketball. Detail oriented, fiscally responsible, establish and maintain good working relationships, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to comply with the State of Nebraska,

MIAA

and

NCAA

polices and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree. 2 or more years of Intercollegiate Head Men’s Basketball Coaching Experience at a 4-year collegiate program. Knowledge of

MIAA

and

NCAA

rules and regulations.
