Position Summary

Essential Job Duties
· Plan and execute practice sessions and game strategies for student-athlete development.
· Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes.
· Complete and maintain required National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) documentation and programming.
· Monitor and support student-athlete academic performance and progress.
· Manage administrative duties related to the softball program.
· Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
· Ensure compliance with Title IX and NCAA regulations.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience
· Professional degree in Education preferred
· 2 years of managerial experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
· Title IX certification
· Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) certification
· National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Advanced knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and player development methodologies
· Strong ability to recruit, evaluate, and develop student-athletes
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with diverse populations
· Proven ability to maintain compliance with NCAA regulations and guidelines
· Knowledge of academic support services and student-athlete development programs
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines
· Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
· Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
· Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
· Ability to communicate in a courteous manner

Work Environment

Work is performed in both indoor office settings and outdoor athletic facilities. The environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. The position involves frequent exposure to loud noise levels, particularly during athletic events and practices. Travel is required for recruitment and competition purposes.

Oversees the work of experienced professionals and subordinate managers, removing obstacles within and across the organization to achieve objectives. May oversee the development of new methods, resolve issues, and regularly advise teams on complex matters
