Job Description

Summary: Goldey-Beacom College is accepting applications for a full-time Head Softball Coach/Student-Athlete Development Specialist. The holder of this position will oversee all aspects of the Goldey-Beacom College Softball Program, including but not limited to, recruiting, training, game day coaching, budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling, and will be responsible for the department’s student-athlete development.  This position holder will be required to regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study preferred, with a minimum of four years’ experience working with intercollegiate athletics.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

Candidate must be a self-motivated worker who can work with minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of people and interact with other departments.

Essential Functions:

  • Coach the Softball team.
  • Recruit of retainable student-athletes under CACC, NCAA, and college regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Financial Aid/Advisement Office to keep a constant focus on players’ eligibility, and thus fulfill CACC, NCAA, and College regulations.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Admissions Department to assure proper attention to potential student-athletes, and to facilitate their recruitment under CACC, NCAA, and College guidelines.
