Athletics
The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Division 1 Men’s Basketball Program and other sport(s) as assigned.
Oversee Strength & Conditioning Program for Division 1 Athletic program.
Supervise and evaluate all strength and conditioning staff and training programs.
Coordinate a safe and effective staffing plan for training activities.
Utilize effective communication with Administration and Coaches and any other partner involved in the physical health of the student-athletes.
Ensure a commitment to compliance of
NCAA
, NC State University and
ACC
rules and regulations
Manage strength and conditioning budget which includes budget requests, salary management , facility maintenance and budgetary compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics.

| Other Required Qualifications |
- Minimum of 2 years experience as Strength & Conditioning Coach in a Division 1 Level or Professional program.
- CSCS or CSCCA certification required.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years as a Strength & Conditioning Program at a Men’s Basketball Division 1 level or higher program.
