Responsible for organizing and administering all phases of an NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Program. This incumbent will lead in the coaching, planning, organizing, directing, recruiting, and implementation of all phases of the University of Georgia’s Men’s Tennis Program as well as lead in all areas of team performance which includes but is not limited to pre-season, post-season training, practice, competition, budget management, and academic progress. | | Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Comprehend and adhere to NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of Men’s Tennis. - Extensive knowledge and experience recruiting at the Division I level. - Evaluate and compare athletic talent for potential growth and development of student-athletes. - Previous managerial experience in hiring, supervising, and evaluating coaches and staff. - Manage a budget. - Support and participate in public relations, fundraising, and promotional activities. - Possess good organizational skills in coordinating recruiting travel and visit itineraries. - Oversee conditioning programs for the eligible student-athletes. | | Physical Demands |
