Head Women's Basketball Coach
Recruits, develops and provides guidance to members of the women’s basketball team in a manner which promotes the academic, athletic and social success of student-athletes and is consisted with the mission and goals of the Wayne State College Athletic Department.
Represent Wayne State College and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
Promote and support Wayne State College and its mission.
Promote and support Wayne State College Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
Provide leadership in the planning and operation of the program.
Administer the women’s basketball program within the policies of Wayne State College,
NSIC
and the
NCAA
.
Provide an environment conducive to a high level of academic performance by team members.
Maintain a student-athlete retention rate equal to or better than the general student body.
Organize and facilitate all daily practice sessions, contest preparation, competition and off-season training.
Adhere to operating, equipment and scholarship budgets as established by the Athletic Department.
Select assistant coaches and graduate assistant coaches in cooperation with the Director of Athletics.
Delegate responsibilities to assistants, student coaches, managers, and squad members.
Develop and maintain a successful recruiting system while maintaining a high level of visibility within Wayne State College’s service region.
Assist in promotion and public relations activities for the Wayne State College Athletic Department and the women’s basketball program.
Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches.
Coordinate travel and meal considerations for away contests.
Organize and manage seasonal camps/clinics to assist youth with athletic skill development, create positive exposure for Wayne State College and generate revenue for women’s basketball program.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
Evaluate and review the program and to recommend changes and improvements to the Director of Athletics.
Provide appropriate and timely information to the offices of sports information, athletic training, compliance, athletic facilities and business affairs.
Teach women’s basketball theory class in the
HHPS
department in a manner that enables students to achieve their highest academic development.
Responsible for fundraising activities specific to the women’s basketball program and assisting with department wide fundraising programs when designated.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of college level coaching experience.
Master’s degree and knowledge of
NCAA
and
NSIC
rules and regulations.

Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive fringe benefit package. Salary range is $87,378 -$97,087.
