Responsible for coordinating, conducting and managing all areas of the intercollegiate women’s basketball.

This position coordinates a highly competitive Division I Women’s Basketball team. Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching student athletes, organizing and conducting practices and competitions, and administering and promoting all phases of the Women’s Basketball Program. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the area of Women’s Basketball.

Ability to organize and administer all phases of a NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball program. Ability to evaluate and recruit, qualified student athletes to the University of Georgia whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia. Be able to comprehend and adhere to NCAA, SEC and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of women’s basketball. Previous managerial experience in hiring, supervising and evaluating coaches and staff; ability to manage a budget. Participate and support public relations, fundraising and promotional activities; possess good organizational skills. Oversee conditioning programs for women’s basketball student-athletes; willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; and reach with hands and arms. Sit and talk or hear. Lft and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions. Driving as needed to perform job tasks.

Evaluating and recruiting qualified student-athletes to the University of Georgia whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia; coordinating recruiting travel and visit itineraries. Monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes. Overseeing conditioning programs. Hiring, supervising, and evaluating coaches and staff.
