American International College (AIC), an NCAA Division II institution and a founding member of the Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference, seeks a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic professional for the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach. This full-time position is responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and management of a highly competitive women's soccer program committed to the academic success and holistic development of its student-athletes.

The Head Women's Soccer Coach provides comprehensive leadership for all aspects of the women's soccer program. The coach will foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and respect that prioritizes the student-athlete experience, competitive excellence within the NE10 and NCAA Division II, and compliance with all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coaching and Program Management

• Direct all coaching activities, including planning, organizing, and conducting practices, skill development sessions, and conditioning programs.
• Develop and implement effective game strategies, in-game coaching, and opponent scouting.
• Manage and provide administrative oversight for all aspects of the program, including program budget, team travel, equipment inventory, and facility needs.
• Oversee and mentor assistant coach(es) and other support staff.
• Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and a strong work ethic.

Recruitment and Retention

• Identify, evaluate, and recruit highly talented prospective student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of AIC and are committed to building a championship program.
• Manage communication and correspondence with recruits, their families, and high school/club coaches.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive national and international recruiting strategy in line with program goals.

Student-Athlete Development and Compliance

• Monitor and support the academic progress and retention of all student-athletes, working closely with the Athletics Department and campus partners to ensure high academic achievement (e.g., maintaining a high team GPA).
• Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes on personal conduct, professional development, and community engagement.
• Ensure strict compliance with all rules and regulations of the NCAA (Division II), the Northeast-10 Conference, and American International College.

Administration, Public Relations, and Fundraising

• Manage the Women's Soccer program's operating budget effectively and ethically, including scholarship distribution.
• Plan and execute team travel logistics (transportation, meals, lodging).
• Coordinate public relations, promotional efforts, and social media outreach for the program.
• Work with the college's development and alumni relations offices to organize and conduct fundraising and alumni support programs.
• Represent the Women's Soccer program and the college positively to the campus community, alumni, and the public.
• Participate in departmental and campus-wide activities and committees as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching or playing soccer at the collegiate level.
• Comprehensive knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and budget management skills.
• Commitment to the NCAA Division II philosophy and the academic success of student-athletes.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Experience recruiting within a competitive NCAA Division II or NE10 conference setting.
• Strong understanding of NCAA and NE10 compliance policies.
• Proficiency with video analysis software (e.g., Hudl).
