Job Description
The position is a full-time, exempt, 12-month commitment, reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The applicant must demonstrate exemplary leadership, recruiting, and coaching skills, as well as thorough knowledge and adherence to all NCAA applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.
The person in this position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and overseeing all aspects of running a competitive wrestling program, including, but not limited to, identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, game preparation, and practice management. The selected candidate will also assist in organizing and running wrestling camps. The applicant must demonstrate leadership, recruiting, and coaching skills, as well as knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA applicable procedures, rules, and regulations. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in wrestling, playing, and/or coaching at the college level.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong professional work ethic and an unwavering commitment to students’ academic success. The successful applicant must also possess significant knowledge of and demonstrated success in coaching folk-style wrestling, recruiting student-athletes, and strong motivation, organizational, and communication skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the institution's Christian higher education environment, abide by all NCAA DII, Northern Sun Conference, and University policies, and commit to student-athletes' academic success.

The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of collegiate coaching experience or a combination of competing as a collegiate athlete and coaching experience will be considered. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s preferred. Travel is necessary with a valid driver’s license; the ability to pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
