Join our winning team as a Human Resources Partner for Nevada Athletics! The University of Nevada, Reno's Human Resources Department, in collaboration with Nevada Athletics, is looking for a strategic, dynamic, and driven Human Resources Partner (HRP) to champion HR functions for our amazing Athletics department.

This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to innovate and make positive changes. Reporting directly to Human Resources, you'll be a trusted advisor to Nevada Athletics, influencing key decisions in:

  • Talent Management – Partners with hiring managers and HR Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing strategy and needs. 

  • Employee Relations – Partners with HR Employee Relations Team as a point of contact for employee relations matters, such as policy interpretation, performance management, conflict resolution, coaching, and disciplinary actions.

  • Organizational Development – Partners with HR Organizational and Employee Development team to provide guidance and training to managers and employees on HR-related topics and to support employee career development.

  • Oversee processes for workers' compensation, disability, leave, workplace accommodation requests, and health and safety issues; inform managers as needed

  • Developing a retention plan or key discussion points on strategies to retain staff members.
