Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities & Operations, the Aquatics Director has overall responsibility and oversight for the routine supervision, maintenance, and repair of the Crawford Aquatics Complex. Duties assigned to this position include, but are not limited to; routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of the pool and ancillary support structures/equipment; monitoring and management of the water quality and chemistry; the hiring, training, and management of student aquatics event staff and lifeguards; solicitation and management of external event activities; venue preparation for intercollegiate and external activities; enforcement of University policies and procedures as necessary; schedule the use of the Aquatics Center; responsibility for planning and budget of aquatics equipment & operations and maintain files and records and prepare reports, as required.

By Agreement Amount: $27.30 - $27.54 per hour.
Required:
Preferred 1-2 years experience working with a College Athletic Program
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Problem-solving skills; multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and effective listener. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Proficiency in the use of computer applications relevant to job duties.
Preferred:
• First Aid & CPR – will provide training • CPO- Certified Pool Operator – will provide training • WSI-Water Safety Instruction – will provide training
Advanced knowledge of program activity and best practices.
Special Conditions Required:
Must work some nights and weekends Must work some holidays
