This position requires availability on nights and weekends.

Primary responsibilities Include: Ensuring effective and timely publicity for athletic events, through preparing news releases, reporting team and Individual competition results and stories, and providing advance media notice for events. Coordinating publicity strategies with department and coaching staff including, but not limited to, the production of schedule cards, newsletters, camp/clinic brochures, posters, game programs, post-season guides, weekly game notes. Promote athletic programs to local, state, and national media, prospective student-athletes and their families, the university community, and alumni. Writing and editing content for university-wide publications as well as athletics focused publications. Maintaining and organizing records and statistics on Intercollegiate teams, as well as historical information on university’s athletics programs. Coordinating photography activities to ensure pertinent events are recorded for internal and external publications. Further development and maintenance of athletics department web site, www.bryantbulldogs.com Supervising and mentoring communications intern, work-study students.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or English. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in a sports information office, either as a student assistant or intern, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and stat crew statistical preferred.
