We are seeking a Learning Specialist to join Auburn University Athletics . In this influential role, you will serve within a collaborative, dedicated, and dynamic element of Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) to create, implement, and oversee integrated plans comprised of targeted programs and services designed to provide individualized structured assistance for student-athletes with significant academic challenges (students with documented education-impacting disabilities, international students, academically underprepared students, etc.). The plans are proactive, sustained and implemented to enhance student success and develop independent and self-motivated learners. The Learning Specialist’s activities will support the mission and goals of Student- Athlete Support Services (SASS).

Minimum Qualifications

- Master’s Degree In Education, Counseling, Special Education or other degree relevant to position.
- 3 years of experience in providing individual tutoring support, study skills assistance, time management strategies or other learning support instruction to students.
- Experience working with students experiencing academic challenges for any reason, including but not limited to, a lack of academic preparation, skills, motivation, or a diagnosed education-impacting disability.

- Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures regarding learning strategies; ability to interpret a range of assessment tools; knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations regarding student-athletes.
