The Manager of Marketing and Game Promotions works as part of the Chief Commercial Officer’s (CCO) team that is responsible for developing and implementing a forward-looking, fully integrated business and marketing plan that delivers strong revenue and profit growth across all commercial business lines to include collegiate athletics and university-wide corporate relationships. As a liaison between University departments, Athletics departments, junior staff, and business partners, this position executes all marketing and promotional initiatives in a professional and tactical manner to ensure professional delivery of services. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Manage the constructing of the gameday promotional program (including scripts development) that supports marketing and sponsorships initiatives for all GU Athletics sports.
Manage the execution of all gameday promotional programs across all GU Athletics sports, including the management of a group of interns to support gameday promotion executions.
Manage the implementation of the gameday run-of-show (including LED, promotions, scripts) for MBB/WBB. This will include managing game hosts, DJs, Pep Band, and half-time acts; all part of the presentation of the game as part of the overall fan experience.
Manage the coordinating of LED graphics creation with an external vendor.
Assist with the creation of marketing plans for athletics sports and university platforms on an annual basis.
Assist in managing community programs for MBB/WBB.
Assist with partnership activation planning externally with sponsors, and internally with Athletics and University staff.
Work Interactions
The Manager of Marketing and Game Promotions will report to the Senior Manager of Marketing Services and assist in the marketing and promotion of Georgetown University and Georgetown Athletics revenue business initiatives. As part of the commercial business team, one will interact with senior and junior staff and contracted partners to execute marketing plans and promotions that supports the commercial business areas, including gameday run-of-show plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Prior marketing successes with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of direct promotional experience; Experience in college sports and specifically game promotions preferred
A knowledge of sports multi-media sales, ticket sales, marketing, and communications
Outstanding communication skills for interactions with partners, operational leaders, vendors, and staff
Experience managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
