Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose |
Under general direction, the Manager of Water Polo Operations is responsible for the administration and management of the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo program for Pacific Intercollegiate Athletics.

| Essential Functions |
- Resolves routine and complex problems with minimal consultation; handles multiple assignments and prioritizes in a constantly changing work environment; recognizes and improves administrative and operational processes as needed.
- Oversee and manage all travel arrangements for the men’s and women’s water polo teams for away contests and events. This includes securing flights, accommodations, ground transportation, meal arrangements, and per diem for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Contribute to the development and execution of fundraising and promotional activities designed to elevate the visibility and support of the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo program, including community outreach activities.
- Manage the Water Polo camps and clinics, ensuring operational success and alignment with team goals.
- Manage and coordinate the usage of all practice facilities, both on and off campus.
- Collaborate with academic support staff to monitor the academic progress of Water Polo student-athletes, ensuring they meet institutional and program standards.
- Manages the film exchange program for the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams.
- Lead the procurement and distribution of all team apparel and equipment, maintaining an organized inventory.
- Manage team travel logistics, including driving to competitions and providing transportation assistance as needed.
- Manage food and nutrition logistics for the teams, both during practice and on the road.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of both the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams, which may include potential coaching responsibilities, subject to qualifications and program needs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Two (2) years of related work experience: playing, coaching, or water polo operations.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree with specific emphasis/concentration in sports management or related field.
- Strong Computer skills.
- Working knowledge of NCAA and University of the Pacific rules and regulations as they pertain to student-athletes and prospective student-athletes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade encourage and motivate team members.
- Possesses a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully with all levels of the organization and diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Working knowledge of Water Polo.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work performed in standard office or athletic venues. Requires flexibility in schedule to meet recruiting, game and event schedules. Extensive travel required both national and international.
Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

| Hiring Range | $58,080 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
