This position reports to the Executive Associate Athletics Director for External Operations
I. Basic Responsibilities
B. Manage the successful operation and growth of Rally Cats, ACU Athletics Kids Club.
C. Develop and execute a student promotional plan by communicating and forming relationships on campus with Student Life, Social Clubs and student organizations.
D. Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.

C. Develop and execute a student promotional plan by communicating and forming relationships on campus with Student Life, Social Clubs and student organizations.
D. Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.
A. Create and execute marketing and promotional plans for assigned intercollegiate athletics programs.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans for all assigned athletics programs - primarily focused on increasing attendance and fan experience.
Work with creative services to develop all advertising media for both external and internal audiences.
Coordinate game day experience, including the preparation of game day scripts to be used and followed by PA announcer and other game day personnel.
Ensure the promotion of athletics events increases visibility of ACU on the campus and within the Abilene community.
Schedule workers for music, video board, in-game promotions, and marketing tables as available at athletics events.
B. Manage the successful operation and growth of Rally Cats, ACU Athletics Kids Club.
1. Develop and implement strategies to grow membership, participation, and retention year over year. Identify and implement new experiences and incentives that enhance the value of Rally Cats membership.
2. Plan and execute Rally Cats game day experiences, including check-in, giveaways, activities, and special recognitions. Coordinate kids-focused promotions and events in collaboration with marketing, ticketing, and game operations staff.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and families regarding Rally Cats activities and benefits. Manage Rally Cats communications, including emails, digital content, and event reminders to parents and guardians.
4. Collaborate with campus, community and corporate partners to expand outreach and visibility of the Rally Cats
C. Develop and execute a student promotional plan by communicating and forming relationships on campus with Student Life, Social Clubs and student organizations.
Coordinate with Student Life staff on game day promotions and themes targeted to students.
Identify key games for student activation (rivalries, special promotions, etc.).
Collaborate with student organizations, SGA, and residence life to promote attendance.
D. Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.
Work with the General Manager to develop in-game features and promotions that can be sold to corporate sponsors.
Ensure that all corporate sponsor inventory items are fulfilled.
E. Game Day Operations and Event Management.
Recruit, train and supervise all employees necessary to provide a high-quality game day experience.
Provide preseason and postseason marketing plans to the Executive Associate AD for External Ops and coaches for assigned sports.
Assist in the successful completion of special athletics related events (NCAA competitions, conference tournaments, and outside events held in ACU Athletic venues).
A. Supervise the marketing assistants
B. Recruit and supervise undergraduate student interns
C. Prepare work schedules and assignments for student workers.
Documented marketing experience, preferably in athletics or entertainment.
Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate diverse events, while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude.
Strong communication skills—written, verbal, non-verbal.
Positive attitude, committed to excellence and continued growth, high energy, outgoing and relational.
Excellence in attending to details.
Ability to work with a number of constituents to produce a well-run athletics event.
Knowledge of NCAA, conference and ACU rules and regulations.
8.. Ability to work flexible hours and adjust to a varied schedule.
V. Qualifications:
ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.
A. Professional
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
One to three years of experience in marketing, promotions or fan engagement.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

A. Ability to endure long hours of work.
