Position Summary

The Marketing & Promotions Manager will support the Office of External Relations to enhance the fan experience at home men’s and women’s basketball games. The position will work directly with external staff to support promotion of the teams through all engaging channels.

Essential Duties

·This position will have responsibilities related to a number of La Salle’s varsity sports with oversight of marketing elements for men’s basketball and other sports as needed.· Work to develop and direct pre-game, half-time and time-out activities at home events, particularly at men’s basketball games, to enhance fan experience.· Write scripts for men’s and women’s basketball, helping to develop language that informs fans and encourages engagement.· Oversee student attendance activations on campus, working to develop relationships and drive student attendance through on-campus promotion and social media support.· Collaborates on key initiatives related to marketing platforms, sponsorship and partnership strategy, integration of partners, in conjunction with University colleagues, for the benefit of the larger institution.· This position will support men’s basketball and other sports with various operational and promotional responsibilities

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with digital media team to create graphics using Adobe Creative Suite.• Complete other duties as assigned by Associate Athletic Director, External Relations, or other designee.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.• Successful background check clearances including, but not limited to, a PA Criminal Records Check, FBI Fingerprinting Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance Check.• Understanding of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.

• Must be able to work long and flexible hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.• This position may require travel.
