Job Description
Men's and Women's Track/Cross Country Assistant Coach
Apply NowThis is a full-time position reporting to the Head Coach/Director of the Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field program. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Supporting the Head Coach in assisting with all recruiting and fund-raising activities, coordination and timely submission of all recruiting logs, telephone logs, and play/practice logs, and transportation of student-athletes to local practices and competitions. Preferred coaching background working cross country, mid distance and distance events.
Applicant will need to have the ability to recruit at a high academic and athletic level those prospective student-athletes that meet the admissions requirements at Boston College.
Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
*Bachelor's degree required.
*Two-three years successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
*Expertise in technical aspect of sport.
*Good organizational and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni.
*Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and File Maker Pro.
*This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and Institutional rules.
Preferred:
*Master's degree preferred.
*Competitive intercollegiate experience desirable
