Coastal Carolina University is seeking applications for the temporary staff position of Men's Club Basketball Coach.
This person will develop and maintain a competitive men’s club basketball program in harmony with the National Club Basketball Association and university policies and actively lead and teach students who wish to increase program success. The person in this position must be able to commit to attend all scheduled practices and games, weekend travel to competitions is routine, with overnight trips varying depending on travel distance. This work requires that an individual position themselves to be accessible to referees, team, and important essential during games. The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such a student or team complaint, maintaining the safety of the team, and competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the team.

Temporary position (TP0632/ TEMP202400043). Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Normal days and work hours vary. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Establishes team roster;
Conducts practices;
Productive game management;
Provides team supervision during travel; and
Establishes behavioral objectives and student leadership development.
Required : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 3 years of coaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient knowledge of all aspects of the game of basketball, capability to instruct club student-athletes and increase their athletic performance, knowledge of National Club Basketball Association rules and regulations, strong written and interpersonal communication skills in order to interact with students, parents, alumni, and university recreation administrators.
