Job Description:

The Graduate AssistantCoachwillassist the Head Coach in all areas of operating an elite collegesportsprogram.The successful candidatewill have the ability to multi-task efficiently, communicate at a high level, and be extremely organized. The Graduate AssistantCoachwill report to theHeadCoach of the assigned sport.

Duties andResponsibilities(Essential Functions):

• Serve as a position/general sports assistant coach.
• Help with recruiting responsibilities.
• Prepare opponent scouting reports.
• Organize team travel (hotels, meals,etc.).
• Assist in facility maintenance.
• Represent thesports program and theuniversityin the community.
• Assist in monitoring CARA for thesportsprogram.
• Assist with conducting and organizing team and individual practice and workouts.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions):

• Keep up with thelatest inplayer development techniques.
• Be engaged in campus events.
• Assist in Sport Camp administration and operation.
• Monitor student-athleteacademic progress.
• Other duties as assigned by theHead Coach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degreerequired.
• Coaching and/or playing experience is recommended.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Computer skills.

Working Conditions:

Average weekly hours not to exceed 29 hours,including some weekends, evenings, and possibly holidays. Some travel is required. Possible exposure to extreme temperatures occasionally,with long periods on feet,lifting/using heavy equipment.
