Position Description:
The Multimedia Specialist I (Videographer) serves as a member of the University of Louisville Athletic Department creative team. The responsibilities of this position include video production, shooting, editing, footage tagging and saving, predominantly for social media, but also includes marketing materials and in-game assets (video boards, special events, etc.). This position reports to the Video Creative Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Take multimedia storytelling or graphics from concept to production to edit/completion in a timely manner.
Work with the Brand and Creative Communications team to produce original ideas for feature storytelling, company branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications.
Act as creative lead for assigned sports projects, partnering with teams, branding, multimedia content producers, graphic designers, and motion to achieve the finished product.
Shoot game-action for assigned sports, take footage and immediately edit into highly-produced videos for each team's social channels
Shoot field and studio at a broadcast level, excelling at camera operation, lighting schematics, sound engineering.
Produce video and graphics for social media content for athletics production, athletic communications (gocards.com and social media accounts), and marketing/sales (video boards, promotional videos, special events, etc.). Includes coverage of games, practices, and special events.
Collaborate with Creative Services team, Graphic Designers, and Video Producers, to support projects for all 23 varsity sports.
Responsible for archiving and footage management of all shot footage.
Travel with assigned sports as needed for postseason and occasional regular season priority games (Approximately 25%).
Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Video production skills, including shooting, editing content for various platforms.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; including the ability to share knowledge and bring creative ideas from concept to completion.
Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations
Previous work experience in intensive, fast-paced environment.
Ability to produce high volumes of content, while maintaining a strong quality of work.
Comfortability with tight deadlines and the ability to answer to multiple constituents and prioritize projects, including working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to take and incorporate feedback to improve designs and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team environment.
