Description

North Greenville University is seeking a dedicated and passionate Offensive Line Coach to join our football coaching staff. This position will be responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring the offensive line while ensuring alignment with the mission and values of North Greenville University, a Christ-centered institution. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective training programs for the offensive line, focusing on fundamentals, technique, and game strategy.
• Plan and execute position-specific drills and schemes that align with the offensive philosophy of the team.
• Evaluate and analyze player performance through film study, practice observations, and game reviews.
• Collaborate with the offensive coordinator to develop blocking schemes and protection plans for various offensive formations.
• Recruit, evaluate, and develop offensive line prospects in accordance with NGU’s recruiting strategy and NCAA Division II regulations.
• Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic, spiritual, and personal development.
• Assist in game planning, scouting opponents, and making in-game adjustments to maximize offensive line performance.
• Maintain a positive and Christ-centered culture within the offensive line group, fostering leadership and accountability.
• Support and participate in fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach activities related to the football program.
• Comply with all NCAA, conference, and university policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to hear and communicate effectively with co-workers, players, and staff.
• Frequently convey detailed or important coaching instructions and ideas accurately, clearly, and quickly.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
• Capacity to demonstrate and instruct various football techniques, including agility and conditioning drills.
• Maintain the physical fitness required to participate in and oversee rigorous practices and games.
• Strong visual and auditory abilities to analyze performances and provide immediate feedback.

- Willingness and ability to travel and endure long hours during games, practices, and recruiting activities.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This job is a full-time position in the Athletics Department. The Coach will report directly to the Head Football Coach

WORK SCHEDULE:

The Offensive Line Coach is required to work according to athletic game schedules, practices, and recruiting events. This position does not operate on a traditional work schedule.

TRAVEL:

Travel is required for away games, recruiting events, and team activities.

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee. The Offensive Line Coach will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties as requested by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years of football coaching experience, preferably with a focus on the offensive line.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor student-athletes both athletically and personally.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing student-athletes.
• Supports NGU’s mission statement and core values, with a commitment to a Christian lifestyle and character in keeping with a biblical model.
• Affirm an understanding of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• Affirm understanding of the University’s Statement on Human Flourishing.
• Agree to abide by the employee handbooks, including community standards agreements.
