The University of Tampa Athletic Department has a position available for an Athletic Communications Digital Media Assistant (hourly position, no benefits) to assist with duties associated with a NCAA Division II 20-team athletic program. This position will assist and report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.

• # Oversee editing and ensure publishing of video content across digital and team platforms.
• # Ensure content posted to Instagram on consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• # Maintain inventory for department cameras, drones, and other equipment per request.
• # Identify video projects and assign to members of video team along with Video Production and Emerging Media Assistant.
• # General office work, archiving of videos and management of video team including 2-3 student workers
• # Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of all cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• # Bachelor's degree.
• # Two years' experience in College/University Athletic Communications Department, marketing, advertising or journalism.
• # Proven background in game management at NCAA-sponsored sporting events.
• # Proficiency in desktop software environment including Adobe Creative Suite products.
• # Familiarity with statistical, scoreboard and broadcasting programs.
• # Event management experience.
• # Ability to work long hours, nights and weekends.
• # Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely. 
• # Knowledge of, or the ability to learn quickly, The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
• # Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule

• # Part-time work schedule not to exceed 29 hours per week/1000 hours per year.
• # Nights, weekends and holidays required as needed.
