Description: King University, a private Christian liberal arts university located in Bristol, Tennessee, seeks a dedicated and motivated Graduate Student Assistant for Acrobatics and Tumbling to support the development and performance of student-athletes. This position is designed for an energetic individual passionate about developing female athletes, growing the sport of Acrobatics and Tumbling, and holistic student-athlete development within a Christ-centered educational environment.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field. • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of student-athletes and staff. • Commitment to the mission of King University and the values of NCAA Division II athletics.
Responsibilities: • Assist Head Coach with administrative duties and practice planning. • Assist in managing social media accounts and planning content. • Provide assistance with recruiting, coordinating recruiting events, and going on potential student athlete tours. • Teach and demonstrate proper technique of new acrobatic elements to athletes. • Work in collaboration with Head Coach to run practices smoothly. • Assist with facility upkeep and maintenance of equipment. • Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship aligned with King University’s Christian mission and values.
Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English required
Hours: 20 hours a week
