Physical Therapist
Ambulatory Services | Healthy New Albany Physical Therapy
The Sports Medicine Rehab Physical therapist is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports related injuries. The sports medicine team members report to the rehabilitation manager as part of the OSU Sports Medicine program structure.
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of Sports and Ambulatory Rehab and under direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Manager. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a rehab manager, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (Physical Therapist Assistants and Athletic Trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications
All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board. Typically, dueled credentials in Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning, a Sports or Ortho Specialty in Physical Therapy, are preferred as well as, one year of experience working in a Sports Medicine rehabilitation field for all professionals hired.
