Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Recruiting Assistant for the Football department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists the football staff with the planning, organization and execution of all major recruiting functions, including both official and unofficial visits.
Coordinates and executes a system of mailings and general correspondence for prospective student-athletes and high school coaches.
Maintains a large database of prospective student-athletes, with an emphasis placed on updating and manipulating the information to suit the needs of the coaching staff.
Records a detailed log of all videotapes submitted to the football office by prospective student-athletes, high school coaches and scouting services.
Communicates with members of a student hostess group and coordinating their involvement in different recruiting functions.
Monitors the Internet for any information about prospective student-athletes that could assist the coaching staff in the recruiting process.
Serves as host to high school coaches, prospective student-athletes and other important persons during practice sessions.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Big Ten Conferences and NCAA rules and regulations.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.
