General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Travel is required.
Purpose
Assist with the creation and execution of detailed scouting reports and the evaluation of Texas Football and other pertinent rosters to analyze and identify strengths, weaknesses, and roster trends, providing organized and vital information relevant to the recruiting process.
Responsibilities
Advance research, development and strategies in the areas of player identification, evaluation, scouting and roster building/management with a focus on roster identification, organization, player evaluations, communicating details and providing recommendations of priority prospects to program leadership.
Develop and manage databases, video libraries, research, and analytical tools to support both recruiting and in-season competition.
Coordinate and maintain accurate recruiting profiles on top targets, athletes’ data, measurables and background information.
Evaluate players and produce detailed scouting reports on the Texas Football roster, and other relevant rosters to analyze and identify strengths, weaknesses, and roster trends.
Analyze and track players' performance metrics, injury histories and character profiles to create comprehensive player assessments.
Maintain and consistently update a centralized scouting database with player profiles, game statistics and evaluation grades.
Assist in preparing and presenting advance scouting reports and recommendations to coaching staff and program leadership.
Serve as a liaison between NFL scouts, coaches and personnel, ensuring seamless exchange of information and consistent and effective communication.
Organize and catalog game footage and other relevant scouting materials to ensure accessibility and efficient internal review.
Assist with planning and overall execution of Pro Day and other assigned programs and events.
Coordinate with key stakeholders and program leadership to effectively monitor NCAA transfer portal and advance scouting projects.
Assist with all recruiting events (official/unofficial visits, junior days, camps, etc.)
Perform additional duties as assigned. Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Bachelor's degree. Prior experience in scouting, football operations or related field. Current knowledge of college football, player evaluation techniques and game strategy. Proficiency in video editing and analysis software (e.g., HUDL, XOS, or similar platforms). Professional demeanor and ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Experience in an NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics football programs and/or NFL level. Experience in football recruiting at the collegiate and/or NFL level. Experience with football scouting reports.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
