The Senior Associate Athletic Trainer supports Stetson University by providing leadership and oversight for the University’s Division I intercollegiate athletics sports medicine and rehabilitative program. The Senior Associate Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine with ensuring compliance with all federal, state, NCAA, conference, and university regulations, creating and managing departmental resources in a fiscally responsible manner, and sustaining a culture of sportsmanship, professionalism, and respect at all levels. Serving as a member of the Sports Medicine Team, the Senior Associate Athletic Trainer will report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine and supervise multiple Associate and Assistant Athletic Trainers. Additionally, they will oversee one of the main Athletic Training Rooms on campus, located in the Athletic Training Center. This Senior Associate Athletic Trainer will be specifically assigned to be the Head Football Athletic Trainer and oversee two Assistant Football Athletic Trainers as well as Men’s and Women’s Golf. The candidate should be prepared to handle all medical referrals to team physicians as well as coordinate care in the prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of their assigned teams. In addition, they will be expected to perform organizational and administrative duties, and other professional responsibilities that come with being a collegiate athletic trainer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and execute clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine including, but not limited to:
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine with:
Provide supervision of the Athletic Training Center Athletic Training Room, including:
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Travel is required for all football and select golf tournaments.
Performs organizational and administrative duties and other professional responsibilities that come with being a collegiate athletic trainer.
Other duties assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications : The ideal candidate’s qualifications include:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.
