What We Want
The Senior Associate Athletic Trainer is responsible for overseeing the Athletic Training program for the assigned sport, which promotes and protects student-athlete health, wellness, and safety.

Working nights, weekends, and holidays as required to complete assigned tasks.
Team travel required with assigned sport

Responsibilities
Athletic Training Services
Coordinate and deliver athletic training services to varsity student-athletes under the direction of the team physician, including prevention, recognition, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries.
Implement acute care and emergency response strategies for athletic injuries.
Operations
Oversee all athletic training room operations for assigned sport
Maintain comprehensive medical records for individual student-athletes, daily injury reports for all athletes, and annual injury report summarizing injuries, treatments, and follow-up care.
Scheduling and Procedure Development
Schedule sports medicine staff.
Develop, implement, and maintain emergency action plans and standard operating procedures for all varsity athletic sites.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Master's degree or higher in a specialized curriculum accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or equivalent.
Previous experience as a board-certified athletic trainer.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Must be certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer and the ability to sit for State of Texas License to practice Athletic Training.
CPR certification.
AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
10 years of experience as a board-certified athletic trainer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
General knowledge of NCAA rules.
Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Medical & First Aid skills including joint taping and physical therapy skills.
