What we want
The Senior Athletic Assistant oversees all internal aspects of the softball program. They act as a liaison with academic departments, housing services, and assist players during their transition to college or summer school. Additionally, they actively participate in on-campus recruiting tours, utilize social media for online recruiting, and compile scouting reports on opponents. They also evaluate the softball team’s performance through analytics and information gathered from video analysis and tools like Synergy.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of softball experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
Interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to plan and organize effectively
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree
More than three years of softball experience

Responsibilities** :**
GAME CONTRACTS
Negotiates and prepares game contracts for tournaments, as well as home-and-home series. All guarantee games must be kept within the overall budget. Contracts must be submitted to the Head Coach for approval. Prepares and routes contracts through the contract process for the Athletic Director’s signature.
CAMPUS RELATIONS
Works directly with the Sports Information Director, business operations staff and other university staff as the need arises. Assists with the organization of team travel. Communicates with compliance on questions regarding NCAA rules interpretations. Corresponds with athletic ticket office for all team needs concerning tickets for home and away contests, and recruiting tickets. Communicates with facilities and maintenance staff concerning facility needs and upkeep. Oversees the Dug Club, which includes overseeing facility reservations, menu, and meeting details. Coordinates films, handouts, player appearances, and guest speakers during the softball season. Arranges approximately a dozen meetings, with the meals being paid for by the members who attend on a per plate basis. Solicits for meetings continuously.
ANALYTICS
Creates and analyzes scouting reports, and charts various activities at practices and games.
RECRUITING
Is involved in on campus recruiting tours and online recruiting through social media. Assists with coordinating all on campus recruiting efforts (game days, official and unofficial visits). Assists with the documentation of all forms related to recruiting.
SUPERVISION
Supervises student workers in the Athletic Softball unit.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Sets up speaking engagements and publicity outing for the team and members of the coaching staff. Works as the initial contact person with the general public, students, media and corporate sponsors. Acts as a liaison for the Athletic softball program.
COMPLIANCE
Compliance is a shared responsibility. Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised. Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department.
