• Assist the head coach in administering a highly competitive Division I Football Program
• Keep abreast of advancements in football analytics, technology, and coach methodologies
• Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement
• Collect, organize, and analyze football-related data from various sources, including game footage, statistical databases, and scouting reports
• Evaluate player performance using advanced statistical analysis and video breakdowns
• Identify key performance indicators and areas for improvement for individual players
• Conduct in-depth scouting and analysis of upcoming opponents to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies
• Provide insights to coaching staff to develop game plans and strategies
• Develop statistical models and predictive analytics to forecast game outcomes, player performance, and strategic trends
• Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the University, the SWAC and the NCAA with the utmost integrity
• Utilize video analysis tools to review game footage and break downplays, formations, and player movement
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• Two to five years experience in coaching on the high school or intercollegiate level, working within the department of athletics
• Effective written/oral communication
• Strong understanding of football strategy, tactics and player roles
• Ability to work effectively with all collegiate personnel, students, alumni and community
• Sound judgement and maturity
• Experience with video analysis tools such as Hudl, XOS, or DVSport
• Must be knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations Preferred:
• Master’s degree
• Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics
