Implement soccer-specific individual development programs for the student-athletes
Prepare daily performance reports on student-athletes and assist in analyzing the data
Create playlists and study film with student-athletes
Attend practices and games as part of the coaching staff
Support and coach in practice sessions
Coach individual and small-group sessions
Complete and present scouting reports on opponents
Support official and unofficial visits and other recruiting duties
Liaise with support departments such as Operations, Sports Performance and Sports Medicine
Support logistics and meal operations during team travel
Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Big 12, and university policies
The position will contribute to an environment conducive to the well-being and academic success of the student-athletes and must establish and maintain effective interactions with the coaches, university community, alumni, media and the public. The ideal candidates will have strong working knowledge of modern soccer; a passion for mentoring athletes; solid organization, decision making, analytical and database skills; and have effective teaching skills. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Must be available and flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel with the team to assigned competitions.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience coaching soccer at a highly competitive level (post-high school).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for a NCAA collegiate soccer program.
Strong experience preparing soccer athletes for performance/competition.
Experience with film breakdown and scouting reports.
