Duties/Responsibilities
| Duties/Responsibilities |
- Coordinate and execute day-to-day social media activities.
- Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Social and Digital Strategy, ideate, create, post content to a variety of UGAA social channels
- Suggest and implement new features to increase user and audience awareness and engagement.
- Stay up to date with current platform tools technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
- Assist in overseeing and fulfillment of social media calendar creation for each channel
- Participate in and provide social media coverage of athletic events and other storytelling opportunities
- Monitor social channels for community engagement and conversation opportunities; Join the conversation in social media through outreach and responses. Respond appropriately to follower comments and messages

| Position Summary |
The University of Georgia Athletic Association is seeking a creative and driven individual for a full-time post-graduate internship focused on social media strategy and content execution. This role is part of the Creative Services team and plays an important part in supporting UGA Athletics’ brand across digital platforms by helping to tell the story of Georgia student-athletes, teams, and events.
The ideal candidate is passionate about digital storytelling, up-to-date on the latest social trends and tools, and thrives both independently and in a team environment. This role provides the opportunity to engage fans and recruits through platform-specific storytelling and creative collaboration.

- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of applicable experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or related fields.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Strong understanding of key social platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and current content trends.
- Experience using social media publishing and analytics tools.
- Ability to craft engaging captions, understand visual storytelling, and collaborate with creatives to produce high-impact posts.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, especially on game days and during live events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and attention to detail.
