Job Description:
Under administrative direction in Sun Devil Athletics, assists senior level athletic administrators in the departments of Men’s and Women’s Basketball in providing resources, support, and coordination in the overall planning and implementation of programs and services. Ensures compliance with the rules and regulations of NCAA and Big 12, as well as the policies and procedures of the University and the Arizona Board of Regents in all projects.
Salary: $50,000-$55,000 DOE
Essential Duties:
Assist in scheduling of appointments, creation of correspondence, and providing other administrative support as requested by the administrators.
Compiles and prepares data for reports, correspondence and presentations
Assists with coordination of travel arrangements and reconciliation for assigned areas.
Assists with business office procedures including pcard reconciliation,
Arranges and implements decisions of meetings and conferences; assures that follow-up actions are taken in accordance with established procedures.
Serves as liaison between the assigned areas and related contacts within and outside of the University community to include compliance, business office, Anthony travel, coaching staff, student athletes, SDA staff, alumni, in order to facilitate programs.
Coordinates resources to meet the needs of the assigned area.
Greets and guides all guests and visitors to Men’s and Women’s Basketball offices.
Creates reports and analyzes data obtained. Develops and updates systems, manuals, handbooks, and policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Plans, develops, and coordinates events related to requirements of the area of assignment.
May provide training to staff in related area.
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge of NCAA, Big 12.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year experience in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Experience with Concur travel application desired.

Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions
