The Special Assistant to the Head Coach assists in the day to day operations of the Gymnastics program. Reports directly to the Head Coach in all listed duties. Due to the confidential nature of much of the information entailed in this position, an extremely high degree of professionalism is required. Said professionalism also includes adherence to all NCAA, SEC, and LSU policies.
35% Work closely with the Head Coach and Gymnastics Operations Director. Daily administrative duties reporting directly to the head coach. Duties include, maintenance of head coaches Calendar, correspondence with Athletic Department, daily briefings of departmental tasks and email updates. Input and utilization of all “TeamWorks” applications for the Gymnastics program
20% Assist the Head Coach in the creation of Fundraising Strategies. NIL liaison between head coach and NILSU, and assisting gymnastics student athletes with their knowledge of NIL Strategies and education in that space.
15% Assist in the relationship with the Marketing department in the creation and implementation of an annual marketing calendar for coaches and team.
15% Assist Operations director in coordination and implementation of all Alumni, Booster, and Donor events. Assist in the identification and implementation of new outreach strategies with in the community.
10% Assist Head Coach and Operations in attendance for all outreach opportunities, to include all promotional and speaking opportunities for the head coach and team.
5% Assist in annual gymnastics equipment inventory and facility need identification. Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in a collegiate gymnastics program as a student-athlete, coach or administrator; knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Travel may be required.
