The Special Assistant to the Head Coach will play a key role in the women’s basketball program, serving the Head Coach and Assistant Coaching staff in managing a wide range of responsibilities including Name Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities; recruiting and transfer portal management; player development/evaluation; and on-court coaching as needed.
Assist the Head Coach in roster evaluation, decisions, and retention, understanding that the Head Coach makes all final decisions. Provide unbiased evaluation of current roster and needs for said roster as well as future rosters. Consistently reviews film of practices and games to identify growth needs of the student-athletes. Assist with on-court practices as needed.

Education: (indicate required or preferred)
| Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Preferred

| Required: 1-2 years in professional or intercollegiate athletics or equivalent experience; preferred 3-5 years of experience within the professional or intercollegiate athletics fields, preferably at the NCAA Division I level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
| Possess exceptionally strong organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Handle highly confidential material. The ability to exercise and apply sound judgment and decision-making skills as the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of data. Remains current, interprets and complies with all Federal, State, NCAA Conference and University rules and regulations pertaining to Athletic Compliance and other related business operations.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
| Frequent walking, standing, and other physical activities. Possible travel both locally, nationally and internationally. Regular exposure to gym and athletic venues with accompanying hazards. Long, irregular work hours including evening, weekend and holiday hours. Will need to be available evenings and weekends.
