For the past 20 years USC’s Sport Psychology department has provided programming, individual therapy, and educational training to help student-athletes become a “whole healthy person.” It is our philosophy that the healthier you are as a whole person the better you will perform. Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Clinical and Sport Psychology Services, the Sport Psychology Program Manager will:
Provide Care Coordination services for the Clinical Sport Psychology team. S
Coordination of care for student psychiatric hospitalizations and IOP, including pre-hospitalization and post-discharge paperwork and campus partner communication.
Facilitation/coordination of annual mental health screenings, including data collection, organizing and reporting, coordination with IT and sport psychology clinicians, and communication and messaging with student athletes.
Coordination of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) testing and referrals.
Coordination and administration of the eCheckUp alcohol screener in collaboration with post-doctoral fellow(s).
Research and securing of referral options to higher levels of care and referral coordination with on- and off-campus mental health partners, including ongoing maintenance of referral lists, communication of ROIs and other documentation.
Tracking and management of student athletes who qualify for coverage post-graduation as required by Big 10 and CA state law.
Back up coordination of psychiatry referrals.
Coordination of student athlete specific groups and programs (e.g., CORE Power, Bodies In Motion, Sis You Good, Black Men in Sport, and more)
Coordination of clinical documentation in electronic medical records (PnC).
Creation, organization, and communication of crisis coverage system.
Additional duties:
Attend multidisciplinary meetings.
Attend and contribute to various Athletics, Student Health, Psychiatry Department and campus meetings, fostering educational objectives and a consultative collegial environment.
Participate in yearly performance evaluations, and other unit, departmental, and division teams and committees.
Serve on committees, as desired/assigned.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
This is an exempt position, is fully on site, with some non-traditional hours required, including some evenings or the occasional weekend.

This is a full-time staff position in the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC with a work assignment as the Sport Psychology Program and Care Coordination Manager within Clinical and Sport Psychology Services. Salary is competitive and contingent on experience. The annual base salary range for this position is $84,972.30 - $116,711.43.
