At Utah Valley University, the Registered Dietitian plays a key role in advancing the health, performance, and overall well-being of our student-athletes and campus community. This position offers the opportunity to shape a comprehensive, evidence-based wellness and nutrition program within a dynamic Division I athletic environment. The Registered Dietitian provides individualized and group nutrition counseling, develops innovative educational initiatives, and collaborates with coaches, trainers, and staff to promote sustainable habits that support peak performance and lifelong health.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assess the nutritional status of student Athletes and employees and provide appropriate, evidence-based dietary recommendations relating to menu planning, food selection, food preparation and budget issues and weight management as they relate to overall well-being.
  • Participate in on-campus nutritional and wellness program education planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate.
  • Work with other staff (Health Educators, Medical Services, Counseling, and Athletic Trainers) to provide care and education to students at risk for eating disorders and other nutrition-related disorder.
  • Promote better nutrition by speaking to groups about diet, and the relationship between healthy eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.
  • Keep up with the latest nutritional science research.
  • Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
