Position Title:

Sports Information Assistant

Job Description:

The Sports Information Assistant reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Communications. Job duties include writing press releases, handling statistics for home games, help maintain the athletic department website, assist with posts on social media, assist with graphic design, and also help in photography for the Sports Information Office. This position will be the sports information contact for assigned sports throughout the season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work assigned home and away games,
• Serve as the sports information contact for assigned sports.
• Write press releases, do statistics for home games, help maintain the athletic department website, assist with posting on social media
• Assist with graphic design for marketing and social media
• Photograph team and individual head shots for use on website, and in print production.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

The appointed individual will:

• Be highly motivated and energetic with an attention to detail and accuracy.
• Have strong writing and editorial skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
