EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
POSITION: Sports Information Associate (PT)
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in higher education, specifically working with students, student-athletes, and athletic administration, are required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and be familiar with other Microsoft Office products. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Must demonstrate respect for others in the workplace and a commitment to creating a supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Assist the Coordinator of Sports Information with the promotion and publicity of all 16 intercollegiate sports, including cheerleading and E-sports.
2. Attend home games and write and edit press releases, game stories, and student-athlete features.
3. Assist with the updating of the athletics website, wildcats.athletics.wilmu.edu, using the PrestoSports web client.

3. Assist with the updating of the athletics website, wildcats.athletics.wilmu.edu, using the PrestoSports web client.
4. Serve as the official scorer and data inputter for multiple sports using NCAA Live Stats or PrestoStats.
5. Update record books and gather historical information regarding NAIA and NCAA eras for archival purposes.
6. Operate computer programs, including Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office programs.
7. Promote and foster a supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
8. Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Sports Information Director.
Hours of Employment: Primarily evening hours; however, the incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours to meet the needs of the team, department, and the University. Some weekends and travel will be required.
