1. Develop and execute comprehensive sports information and media relations strategies.
2. Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date statistical records for teams and individual athletes.
3. Serve as the primary liaison between the Athletics program and media outlets.
4. Coordinate and manage press conferences, interviews, and media events.
5. Generate content for official Athletics program publications and digital platforms.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they 
can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other 
combination of skills and abilities:
1. Strong writing and communication skills with an emphasis on sports journalism.
2. Proficient in sports statistics software and content management systems.
3. Knowledge of media relations practices and strategies.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes, and external media outlets.
5. Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media trends.

Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field. Master's degree 
preferred
