The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), located in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida, invites applications for two (2) Sports Medicine Fellowship positions for the 2025–2026 academic year. This immersive opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking to advance their clinical skills and gain valuable experience in a collegiate athletic setting.

Position Overview:
The selected fellows will work under the supervision and mentorship of the Associate Athletic Director for Health and Sport Performance, as well as a team of seven full-time, certified athletic trainers. Fellows will provide athletic training services and sport coverage as assigned, contributing to the health and performance of student-athletes across 20 NCAA Division II sports. ERAU is a proud member of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing athletic training coverage and care for assigned sports
• Assisting with daily operations at two on-campus athletic health care facilities

• Participating in clinical rounds with Team Physicians
• Collaborating with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and other members of ERAU’s integrated sports performance team
• Engaging in professional development and practical learning experiences

Appointment Details:

• Duration: September 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026 (9-month appointment)
• Compensation: $23,500 stipend
• Additional Benefits: Optional university meal plan
• Time Off: Substantial break during December (depending on sport assignment)
• Please Note: Housing and health insurance are not included

This fellowship provides a hands-on, enriching experience within a highly collaborative and respected athletic department. Fellows will gain valuable exposure to all aspects of collegiate sports medicine in a dynamic and supportive environment.
